We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to establish Thunder Logistics LLC, and how has your journey in the logistics industry been?”
Mansoor A. Al Rawahi replied, “My journey in the logistics industry started in 1999, and over the years, I have had the privilege of working in various roles across multiple logistics companies. This diverse experience provided me with a deep understanding of the industry’s challenges and opportunities. In 2013, I established Thunder Logistics LLC with a vision to provide specialized and high-quality logistics services, particularly for the military and oil and gas sectors. The road to establishing the company wasn’t easy, but it was driven by my passion for logistics and the desire to offer tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. Today, I am proud to see how far we have come, overcoming obstacles and building a solid reputation in the industry.

Mansoor A. Al Rawahi replied, “At Thunder Logistics, staying ahead of local and global regulations is critical to our success. We adopt a proactive approach by investing in continuous professional development for our team, keeping them informed of the latest industry trends, compliance standards, and regulatory changes. We also work closely with key industry bodies, authorities, and regulatory agencies to ensure we are always aligned with current requirements. Additionally, we leverage state-of-the-art technology to monitor and streamline our operations, ensuring we maintain full compliance with both local and international standards while delivering efficient services.

Whether it’s handling complex military cargo, oil and gas equipment, or intricate project shipments, we work closely with our clients to understand their needs and challenges. Mansoor A. Al Rawahi replied, “As the leader of Thunder Logistics, my primary role is to ensure that our services are not only efficient but also safe and fully compliant. In post-marketing activities, this involves overseeing the safe transport, storage, and delivery of goods, particularly in industries like military and oil and gas, where the stakes are high. I ensure that we adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at every stage of the logistics process. Additionally, I maintain open lines of communication with our clients to promptly address any compliance issues or product-related concerns post-delivery, ensuring peace of mind for our clients.

The Arab Today: Can you share an example of how your company has successfully guided a product/service from development to it reach the end user?
Mansoor A. Al Rawahi replied, “One example that highlights our ability to guide a product from development to reaching the end user is a project we managed for an oil and gas client. We were involved early in the development phase, working closely with the client to understand the technical specifications and requirements for the transportation of heavy machinery and equipment.
Once the product was developed, we coordinated its complex logistics, ensuring safe and timely delivery across multiple modes of transport—air, sea, and land—while adhering to the strict safety and regulatory requirements specific to the oil and gas industry. Throughout the entire process, we tracked the cargo, monitored compliance with local regulations, and provided the client with real-time updates.
After the product reached its destination, we ensured proper installation, storage, and monitoring of the equipment to meet the client’s operational needs. By providing end-to-end logistics support, we ensured the successful delivery and deployment of the equipment, enabling the client to seamlessly integrate it into their operations and ultimately deliver value to their end-users. This process demonstrated our capability in managing complex logistics and ensuring that products reach their final destination safely and efficiently.

Lastly we asked, “What is your vision for the future of Thunder Logistics, and how do you plan to achieve it?”
“My vision for Thunder Logistics is to continue expanding our footprint as a leading provider of specialized logistics solutions, particularly in the military, oil and gas, and project shipment sectors. To achieve this, we plan to invest in advanced technology to improve our service offerings and increase operational efficiency. We will also focus on expanding our network, both regionally and globally, to better serve our clients and provide them with a wider range of logistics solutions. Above all, we will continue to prioritize building strong, long-term relationships with our clients by consistently delivering exceptional service and staying ahead of industry trends.
In addition to this, Thunder Logistics is committed to nurturing the next generation of logistics professionals. We offer training opportunities to college students even before they graduate, providing them with valuable hands-on experience and exposure to day-to-day operations within the logistics industry. By offering this practical training, we aim to support their future careers, equip them with the skills they need to succeed, and foster a deep understanding of the logistics field.
